Better Than a Cask of Amontillado

Poe little me, having to drink Bridgeport's new Imperial Porter, Raven Mad. This 7.5% ABV beer returns from the Rue Morgue after being retired in 2008. It has the enticing mix of aging 50% in whiskey barrels and 50% with oak, and a price tag that won't leave you weak and weary like many of the other "Imperial" style releases lately: $5.99 for a 22 oz. bottle. I picked this up at the Kelly Liquors on Wyoming.

As of noon on Wed 12/2/11, the staff at Quarters @ Wyoming had no clue about this beer. I left empty-handed :-(

Did you go to the Kelly's I wrote about after that? It isn't far down the street. I tried the beer the other night, and it wasn't bad. I don't really like the thinness of the body of some Imperial Porters, and this was thin- but the whiskey barrel aging helped the beer.
